A classic toy which is the perfect tool for counting and learning numbers. Each abacus is made from smooth beech wood with the option of soft silicone beads or wooden beads on the first line. Not only is our abacus aesthetically pleasing, it's ideal for colour recognition, sensory play and encourages fine motor skills. Each line includes ten beads allowing for simple calculations with forty beads in total. Choose from our large range of colours to create an abacus which is unique to you. Maybe opt for shades of one colour, all of the neutral colours or a muted rainbow.
Need to know
Age 3+. Our abacus's are to be used under adult supervision. Beads measure approx 23mm. The silicone beads used are made from high quality food grade silicone, which is BPA, Phthalate and PVC free. Our beads have been independently lab tested to EN71-1:3 and the finished toy to EN71-1:2. Wood elements are finished with a natural wax/oil blend which we hold EN71-3 certificates for. CE / UKCA certified. Each toy is assembled by hand and thoroughly inspected before leaving us. We use a non-toxic food safe glue to fix the dowels in place, which are deeply embedded in the wooden base.
Please inspect before each and every use and discard immediately if damaged. Clean with a damp cloth and allow to air dry, do not submerge in water. Use a mild soap to clean beads before first use.
