Crafted from beautifully soft grey velvet and leather, this seal is completely handmade in my studio on the Isle of Wight. He’s based on the seals I often have the joy of surfing with in the waters around the Island, except this one is not only beautiful and graceful but he also has great dress sense. Decked out in his cool striped t shirt, he loves nothing better than sun bathing on a rock or sharing a plate of fish and chips with you (limit the chips though, they’re really not good for seals).

My inspiration for all my creatures comes from my own childhood obsessions with nature and birds, The Famous Five and the wild Dungeness coastline. And in recent years by the incredible island I now call home.

I make creatures that will evoke childhood memories for the grown up children, and create childhood memories for the children of today.
