One of the most iconic wild animals found in Britain, this mixed media hare is created using a wide range of salvaged materials from salvaged tweed scraps to old maps. Primarily made from corrugated card she is embellished with paper and fabric collected from end of season sample books, recycled buttons, finished off with hand sewn highlights.
This unusual marrying of materials highlights the value of the stuff we throw away everyday. The process is often called 'creative reuse' and aims to reduce the amount of valuable resources bound for landfill by giving them a second life.
