The barn owl, with its ghostly appearance and silent flight, is a fascinating creature of the night. Known for its heart-shaped face and striking white underbelly, this mixed media art piece was created using a wide range of salvaged materials from salvaged tweed scraps to end of season wallpaper samples. Primarily made from corrugated the owl is embellished with paper, recycled buttons, and finished with both machine and hand sewn highlights.
This unusual marrying of materials highlights the value of the stuff we throw away everyday.
