Authentic ‘Kingfisher’ Kantha quilt. Available in two generous sizes, the large is wide enough to cover both queen and double sized beds. Each quilt is reversible with the kingfisher design on one side and dragonflies on the other. Supplied encased in its own drawstring bolster bag for easy storage. AARVEN's kantha quilts are cool to sleep beneath in summer months, provide additional warmth in the winter, and make perfect throws for sofas. Meticulously constructed, each quilt was individually hand stitched with an outstanding amount of effort and time.
This vibrant watercolour paint-style print depicts flying kingfisher birds, dragonflies, plants, and ornate patterns. Using the traditional Indian colour palette, the beautiful contrast of pink, yellow, and green makes for a stunning statement for your bedroom.
Pair with our Kingfisher quilt/throw over for a gorgeous matching set.

Block printing is an ancient technique mastered throughout the generations, originating from India and dated back to the pre-Vedic age (pre-1500 BCE). Each block section was individually printed and sewn in place.
Aiming to keep this cultural crafting technique alive, we collaborate with our team of talented artisans to create exclusive, contemporary designs. Co-founder Amy hand-illustrated the design in a colourful palette reminiscent of Indian summers. Inspired by Amy's, love of gardening, and the dragonflies which dance across her pond in the summer months.
Handcrafted in Southern India by Srini and his team in his workshop that champions sustainable design. Founded in 1978, Srini and his team are dedicated to truly ethical production, and have been awarded numerous accreditations including SA8000, GOTS & OekoTex 100 Class as well as being certified by the Ethical Fashion Forum. Employees have access to a range of support schemes including housing facilities, education and healthcare, as well as personal development seminars and training.
