A wonderful gift for cat lovers and book lovers alike, Jeoffry: The Poet's Cat is one of our most-loved Audiobook in a Card™ titles.
“For I will consider my cat Jeoffry” begins one of the most beloved passages in Christopher Smart's Jubilate Agno.
Jeoffry was a real cat who lived over 250 years ago, keeping the eighteenth-century poet Christopher Smart company during his confinement in an asylum. In return for his love and companionship, Smart immortalised Jeoffry in what has become one of the greatest literary tributes to a cat.
Full of warmth, wit and fascinating historical detail, this delightful audiobook brings Jeoffry's story to life, taking listeners on a journey through the bustling streets of eighteenth-century London and into the extraordinary world of Christopher Smart and his contemporaries.
