The ‘Plait’ dog collars are made with premium vegetable-tanned Italian leather fitted with solid cast brass hardware. The collars feature a hand plait woven into the design, and lined for comfort with a contrasting colour. All Seldom Found goods are made in England , hand cut and hand stitched for you and your hound in a small studio environment with attention to detail and an ethos of slow design and buy less, buy better.

Sustainability is really important to Seldom Found. Slow design and heritage practices are a key factor of your products. The leather I use is sourced from the UK for this product using the world famous Vegetable tanned Walpier Buttero from a family run Italian tannery using leather destined for waste from the consumption market. No chemicals have been used to tan this leather making it sustainable and biodegradable. All packaging is plastic free as standard and every product has been hand cut and saddle-stitched by hand.

Fitting
It is very important to fit your collar correctly. For a standard dog……Take a tape measure and wrap snug around the mid neck where your dog’s collar will comfortably fit with 2 fingers flat underneath. This will be your collar size. Try and get a collar that fits the size near central…ie if your dog’s neck size is 13.5” get a size Medium collar (12-15”) size.
