The width of the collar is important. A collar that is too wide, may be uncomfortable, while one that is too narrow may not provide enough support. Generally, the width should be proportionate to your dog’s size: Small Dogs: 5/8 to 1 inch wide. Medium Dogs: 1 to 1.5 inches Long-necked breeds can carry a wider collar and will support their neck. Extra Small: 8"-12" (20cm-30cm), Small: 12"-14" (30cm-35cm), Small-Medium: 14"-16" (35cm-40cm), Medium: 16"-18" (40cm-45cm), Large: 18"-20" (45cm-50cm), Extra Large: 20"-26" (50cm-66cm). Remember, martingale collars are adjustable but sized to fit over the widest part of your dog's head.

Caring for your Tweed Martingale collar:
We recommend hand washing or spot cleaning the soiled area. This collar can be machine washed on a gentle cycle but not tumble dried; instead, air dry, it's better for the environment.
