I loved the idea of his stern, somewhat sombre expression showing something more fun, and frivolous, and the Blondie song call me, sprung to mind....he just needs a bit of love to change that sombre look.." cover me in kisses, baby, cover me in love"
The original 1940's photograph was hand embroidered with bright red embroidery in satin stitch, to replicate lipstick kiss marks all over his face.
