Need to Know
  • A hand-sculpted chilli pepper Christmas tree topper, made from cotton string and wire.
  • The string is hand-dyed, French knitted to form a hollow cord, threaded with wire and sculpted by hand.
  • Measures approximately 18cm high x 6cm wide x 25cm deep including the coil.
  • To fix the topper to your tree, twist the wire coil around the leader branch. I liken it to plaiting them together.
  • I make the coil in two sizes: Standard Coil (1cm diameter) for most real trees and narrower artificial trees, and Wide Coil (2cm diameter) for fuller trees, especially larger artificial ones.
  • I use Everlasto strings and twines from the James Lever Factory in Bolton, UK, where they've been manufacturing for over 150 years.
  • Handmade. All measurements are approximate.
  • Made from cotton string and wire.
  • Decoration Material & Flammability Note: Keep away from open flames, candles and other heat sources.
  • All my string "things" are plastic free. Packaging can be re-used, composted and/or widely recycled.
  • Natural cotton string is intended for practical uses so slight inconsistencies in colour, flecks and blemishes are all part of the charm.

A string and wire chilli tree topper for anyone who loves chillies or embraces the unconventional.

I know it's random and certainly not a traditional choice, but after making a Peeled Banana Tree Topper, I really wanted to see a Chilli on top of a Christmas tree. I'm not sure where this intrigue is going to go next. Maybe an aubergine?

Whatever your reason, topping your tree with this chilli will certainly raise a smile.
