Reveal the hidden beauty of Sweet Pea flowers with this botanical X-Ray print. Part of an ongoing series based on original Cyanotypes, this piece blends art and anatomy to show the inner workings of plants.
In the Victorian language of flowers, the Sweet Pea often meant thanks and gratitude as a parting gift, or blissful pleasure. It is the birth flower for April.
I wanted to create a collection that would let you see deeper into the inner workings of plants. The technique and images I have developed are a mix of art and anatomy, giving a view of the structures not necessarily seen with the naked eye.
