When I was younger it would have been my dream to own something like this so the pleasure was all mine recreating this vintage dolls house!

I would say this example was made around the 1950’s and 1960’s, a simple and honest construction but with a retro look; so I decided to add stripes to the paintwork in varying shades of pink, contrasting with a decoupaged patterned roof in similar colourings to create a fun pattern clash, all sealed to protect.

I then used a selection of green and pink to give this old house new life, with each room painted a different colour and collectable vintage furniture pieces to match.

The door opens and closes using a simple clasp, with the roof lifting off fully to reveal a secret loft space to hide your secret things!

All the furniture in the photographs is included, each mini art pieces in themselves, including;

Mint Green armchair freshly reupholstered with hand-painted fabric panels

Collectable Vintage mid century TV (the days before flatscreens!)

Hand-taped Geometric MCM Chest of Drawers

Re-upholstered Orange Leopard Print Bed

Vintage 1960s Table & Chair Set

Please note that dolls house furniture has become quite collectable, I have sourced and included some really sweet up-cycled pieces to become your heirlooms of the future; with the idea being that you can then begin collecting your own pieces too, to play around with as you choose.

This is definitely a show piece but personally I love the idea that this might be played with again and become a special treasure for future generations, it so deserves to be loved!
