'Women In Music' - Original limited edition Risograph print
A celebration of legendary women in music. Part of a collection of prints I am creating on this theme, that bring women artists to the fore. Can you name them all? Who’s your favourite?
This print has been created using the Risograph print method onto lovely lightly textured professional heavyweight printing paper. Risograph prints are created with a specialist Risograph printer, which works like a screenprinter using rich spot colours and stencils to create tactile and vibrant prints.
Risograph uses eco-friendly soy based inks, and is highly energy efficient and sustainable - so has minimal impact to the environment. It is a sometimes unpredictable printing technique, and the texture of the rich ink gives a unique ‘handmade feel’ tactile to the prints that I really love.
My risograph prints are created in limited editions, so each print is also hand titled, numbered and signed by me in pencil.
Medium: Original Risograph limited editon print
Paper size: 29cms x 21cms - which fits a standard frame size
Ink: Fluro acid pink vegetable -based eco friendly risograph ink
Paper: A lovely white, lightly textured, acid-free, heavyweight 230 gsm professional printing paper
Edition size: Limited edition of 250
Each limited edition print is titled, signed and numbered in pencil by the artist (me!).
Need to know
To be really clear, you are purchasing the print only. No frames or mounts included - framed and mounted prints shown in my images are for illustration purposes only.
Packaging: All my prints come unframed, with a protective card backing, and wrapped in a clear protective compostable & biodegradable alternative to cellophane. No plastic here! Then packed inside a card backed envelope. Larger A3 sized prints come rolled in a tube.
Planet: I want my print making to have the least impact on the plant as possible. So I use professional vegetable oil based eco-friendly printmaking inks (and no solvents are used in the studio). All prints are sent to you in plastic-free packaging too

Her inspiration comes from inspirational poems, song lyrics, wild swimming, contemporary culture and ancient wisdoms, folklore, protest art and feminisim.
