Description

A set of ten wooden counting ladybirds engraved with dots from one to ten. Each ladybird has a walnut head and their bodies are coloured with a beech oil-wax finish. The dots are deeply engraved making our ladybirds wonderfully tactile. They're perfect for counting, creating number lines, matching colours or small world play.

Add a set of our wooden leaves and symbols to create a fun, educational maths set. Each leaf set is left as raw wood and features a leaf illustration on the front and the numbers from 1-10 on the back. On the bottom of each leaf, the word of the corresponding number is engraved. Leaves measure approx 13cm tall, 10cm wide and 0.5cm thick. Four symbol coins are included with +, -, x, >, < and = engraved on both sides of the coins.

Need to know

Each ladybird measures approximately 5cm long by 3.7cm in width and are made from beech wood. They have a flat bottom and a curved body and come in a cotton drawstring bag for safekeeping.

Each ladybug has their own unique character and are finished by hand. Due to the nature of wood, the grain and engraving colour will vary on each bug - some may appear darker and some may appear lighter.

Safety tested to EN71-1-2-3 standards from 3 years+. These are not teething toys and are not intended as a toy for children still putting objects in their mouths. Adult supervision is recommended. Mouthing or chewing may result in damage to the surface. Clean with a damp cloth and allow to air dry, do not submerge in water. Keep out of direct sunlight as this may alter the colour over time. Our paints, stains and sealants are all toy safe. The walnut heads and beech bodies are finished with an oil-wax food safe blend.
