Philippa’s creative journey has always been about colour, curiosity, and a love of making. From an early age, creativity was encouraged and often involved muddy hands making miniature gardens in bowls or exploring clay in workshops with her mum. Over the years she’s explored just about every craft imaginable, filling her homes with handmade character and charm. Her and husband Ian have renovated a tumbledown Spanish ruin, built wooden homes on wheels from reclaimed treasures, and always found joy in giving new life to forgotten things.

Today, she has settled into her happy place: an old Cornish cottage nestled in a green valley, where birdsong and nature weave into her everyday inspiration. Her colourful, quirky ceramics bring a playful touch to daily rituals — butter dishes alive with birds and dogs, jugs and mugs brimming with charm, even sculptural bird candle holders that seem ready to take flight. Alongside them, her graceful wooden flying birds swoop gently on the breeze, carrying a sense of freedom and delight.

Her home itself is part of her canvas — walls, window ledges, even the staircase are painted with her joyful images, a reflection of the creative spirit that runs through everything she touches. For Philippa, making is not just about objects — it’s about creating a life full of imagination, colour, and a sense of wonder.
