Hello, I’m Rosa and I’m a broom and brush maker based in Sheffield. Working with natural materials and traditional techniques, I creates objects that combine utility with considered, contemporary design. Made entirely by hand, my brushes and brooms are intended for everyday use yet are equally at home on display. Bright colours often feature in my work, bringing joy to the daily ritual of sweeping.
I am passionate about sharing my heritage craft skills and I teach brush and broom making workshops around the UK.

The story behind the business
Meet Rosa Harradine
I’ve always loved making things and came to broom and brush making via basketry, spoon carving and bowl turning! My brushes quickly became popular online and I recently left my part-time job to focus my full attention on the business.
I was chosen as a TOAST New Maker 2022 by the fashion and homewares brand who selected five makers demonstrating excellence in skill, originality and craftsmanship. Last year, I was selected as one of the King’s Foundation’s ‘35 under 35,’ a network of makers and changemakers connecting with nature, tradition, and sustainability. My work has been featured in publications such as The Guardian, Country Living, Crafts Magazine, and House & Garden.
