  • Sold individually.
  • Dimensions: Whole - W 165mm x D 130mm x H 70mm.
  • Lid - W 135mm x D 98mm x H 55mm.
  • Base - W 165mm x D 130mm x H 22mm.
  • Generously holds a 250g block of butter.
  • Earthenware Butter Dish, cast using a fine semi porcelain slip mixed on site using a ‘secret recipe’.
  • Finished with a transparent food-safe glaze.
  • Dishwasher and microwave safe.
  • Wash before use.
  • Care: To keep your butter dish looking its best, avoid leaving the lid sitting in butter. If butter gets onto the bottom edges, wipe clean with a damp cloth.
  • Please note these items are handmade in small batches, so there will be some variation in colour.
  • Packed in tissue paper inside a corrugated cardboard sleeve, nestled in protective material in a recycled cardboard box.

A handmade ceramic butter dish that looks like a block of butter still in its wrapper. Play with the rules of etiquette when you bring it to the table for a cheeky touch.

Katie studied a real block of butter, noting all the corners, dinks, softly curving edges and the crisp paper fold at each end. The result is a tactile piece with the word BUTTER recessed on top. The lettering can be hand painted in Blue, Green or Red, or you can choose the clean lines of the Plain option.

A raised lip on the base makes it easy to pick up. Team it with the matching Milk Carton, Sugar Pot or Egg Cups to make a joyous gift.
