Description

This is my original size flying mobile heron. ( I also now make a slightly smaller version of my popular wooden bird for smaller spaces)...

This is my original size flying mobile heron. ( I also now make a slightly smaller version of my popular wooden bird for smaller spaces)

Each one is cut out by me on my trusty bandsaw then sanded, hand painted and strung together and hung from a wooden pole cut from the Cornish hedges. My favourite bit of this bird are the legs which I make from wire, resin and old rusty nails. They definitely make this a special piece of art……… no two are exactly the same.!

It is sure to WOW you and your friends and create a stunning addition to your home. If you are lucky enough to have a window to hang it in, all the better as it will fly in the breeze or under a verandah. If not just give its cord a little pull as you pass and its elegance will make you smile.

Need to know

Dimensions. The wingspan is approximately 90 cms (that’s nearly a whole meter! ) and the length of the body is about 60cms and a bit more with the legs.

The heron is hand painted in acrylic paints and varnished with a tough satin finish varnish.
Whilst my birds look fabulous in any childs bedroom it must be remembered that this is NOT a toy! Small children must be supervised whilst touching and it MUST be hung well out of reach of small babies and children.
