  • Made from oak, finished using the ancient Japanese Yakisugi (charring) technique.
  • Sealed with Walrus oil (no walruses involved), a premium food-safe, 100% natural oil made from mineral oil, coconut oil, vitamin E and beeswax.
  • Dimensions for each size are listed in the variant options.
  • Wipe with a damp cloth after use. Dry thoroughly.
  • Use minimal detergent and avoid abrasive sponges.
  • Do not soak or put in the dishwasher.
  • Replenish the oil every 6-12 months depending on use.

Yakisugi is an ancient Japanese technique to seal, preserve and colour hardwood using only fire. The boards are wire brushed, sanded, washed and finally oiled with a 100% natural food grade oil.

Ideal for serving grilled vegetables, antipasti, sushi, cheeses, and fruit platters. These versatile boards are designed for everything from everyday lunches to generous sharing feasts.
