Classic black and white chessboard, made from Jesmonite AC100, a water-based, non-solvent material that is environmentally friendly. The Modern Factory also uses water-based spray paints that are free of solvents, further contributing to its eco-friendliness. This item is then completed with a vegan wax sealer.

As a small business that takes pride in handcrafting, each item is made individually to avoid wasting materials.

Need to know

Please be aware that, due to the natural process of working with Jesmonite, air bubbles may occur. However, I take extensive measures to minimise this issue by utilising sieved Jesmonite powder, applying a 2mm layer of mixture into the mould first, and using a vibrating table to eliminate as many air bubbles as possible. Despite these efforts, it is still possible for some air bubbles to remain.
