The basket that can't decide if it's practical or beautiful. Fortunately it doesn't have to.
At home holding laundry in a bathroom, logs by a fireplace, toys in a playroom or shopping at a market — this heavyweight jute basket works everywhere and looks good doing all of it. The boned handles stand upright giving it a structured, considered silhouette whether it's full or empty. The double canvas base means it takes weight without complaint.
Handmade from a heavyweight woven jute stripe — the kind of fabric where the colour and pattern are woven in rather than printed on, so they stay sharp and vivid however hard the basket works. Sourced from a specialist Indian jute weaver and finished by Kika Bespoke.
Available in three colourways — orange, blue and dark green; bright pink, raspberry and black; and dark navy and white. Each one a different weight and character, all of them the same generous size.
45cm tall with boned handles extending to 60cm. 32cm diameter base, reinforced with double canvas. Needs to be filled to hold its full shape — which, given how useful it is, won't be a problem.
Hand wash separately with a mild detergent.
