Handmade Scalloped Ceramic Dish

Delicate, handmade white with black speckles, scalloped stoneware dish.

These dishes have been hand-made by me and glazed with a matt cream glaze with tiny black speckles. They are perfect for tea lights, soap or small trinkets.

My ceramics are completely handmade by me in my studio in the South Downs national park. All my ceramics are inspired by imperfection. I love to show the nature of bare clay using simple glazing techniques. I fire at pieces at both earthenware and stoneware temperatures. I have undergone many glaze tests with a variety of different clays to come to the results that you see in my shop. That is not to say that I haven’t had a lot of happy accidents along the way! My ceramics are packaged in recycled and recyclable materials. I try very hard not to use plastics and will only use them if I’ve recycled them from something I have been sent. I am committed to a sustainable approach to making and posting.
