Limited Edition blostm florestry — Poinsettia Candle
Introducing the first release in our blostm florestry collection: the Christmas Poinsettia, hand-built petal by petal from locally sourced Sussex beeswax. Each bloom is a work of wax artistry, fusing two intricate techniques—traditional Russian wax florestry and elements of the Oaxacan method—to create a flower of breathtaking detail and sculptural beauty. Every poinsettia is lovingly moulded, finished, and hand painted, making no two quite the same.
Steeped in Christmas tradition, the poinsettia has long been associated with the festive season. Native to Mexico, where it is known as La Flor de Nochebuena (“Flower of the Holy Night”), it became a Christmas emblem in the 16th century when, according to legend, a young girl presented humble weeds at a church nativity, which miraculously blossomed into vibrant red poinsettias. Since then, the poinsettia has stood as a symbol of joy, generosity, and the spirit of giving.
Our beeswax poinsettia offers both versatility and decadence: it can float gracefully on water, creating a mesmerising centrepiece, or sit proudly on a table as a show-stopping floral candle. Scented naturally with the intoxicating fragrance of honey, each candle has a 1–2 hour melt time, making it as fleetingly precious as the bloom itself.
A truly limited edition creation, perfect as a gift for someone you love, as the centrepiece of a festive dinner table, or as part of a luxurious Christmas display. This is wax transformed into wonder, tradition reimagined as art.

FRAGILE - Please remember that natural wax is a soft and delicate material, so some imperfections may be present on the surface. Natural waxes will 'bloom', this is a natural reaction to the environment which means the candle may appear 'dusty'. This is very easy to remove with a warm hand or quick blast with a hairdryer.
H&S - Candle safety;
- NEVER leave a burning candle unattended.
- Always put candles on a heat resistant surface, taper candles will need a stable, heat-resistant holder with a wide footprint to prevent them falling over.
- Keep burning candles away from things that can catch fire (e.g. curtains, other fabrics, furniture, hair). Keep candles out of draughts. Don’t put under shelves (there should be at least one meter between a candle and any surface above it).
- Candles should be kept out of reach of children and pets - consider where you place them in your home carefully.
- Make sure to leave at least 10cm between two burning candles - candles like to 'jump' between each other.
- Trim your wick when needed to maintain a height of 0.5cm.
- Keep wax pool clear of matches and debris to prevent reignition.
- Extinguish candles before moving them. Make sure candles are completely extinguished.
- CANDLES ARE NOT FOOD, NOT TOYS AND SHOULD NEVER BE EATEN.
