Crafted from genuine, sustainably produced vegetable-tanned leather, it features a detailed gold illustration of the iconic Spitfire from the No. 19 Squadron RAF, which was the very first squadron equipped with this legendary airplane in August 1938. The No. 19 Squadron played a significant and heroic role in early combat missions, including the crucial Dunkirk evacuation. Inspired by the various airplanes my grandfather flew while serving in the RAF during World War II, this bookmark is more than just a practical item—it’s a cherished little piece of history. It’s a perfect gift for men, women, children and grandparents. Available in black, navy blue and a special version painted by hand on natural leather, each one being slightly unique due to painting by hand individually.
