Description

This original art print is a wood engraving of a Robin on a stump. It is a very detailed illustration using fine wood engraving tools on a highly carved piece of maple wood.

Printed using an old Gem Letterpress proofing press at Spike Print Studio in Bristol. It is printed in black ink onto white Zerkall paper.

Please note that this paper is a warm white colour, not cream as it may appear on some screens.

Hand printed wood engraving. Printed on Zerkell smooth white 145gsm.
Engraving measures 7cm x 4cm approx. Paper size 20cm x 20cm.
Signed, titled and numbered in a limited edition of 100.

I make my work in Spike Print Studio where I print everything by hand on one of their fabulous presses. This collection of art prints and greeting cards has been inspired by my love of nature, particularly birds, and is printed using high quality specialist papers and inks including GF Smith Kraft, Gmund Gold, and Zerkell wood engraving paper.
