Description

Britain's favourite bird, the robin redbreast. Folklore has it they are a signifier of those we have lost and many people take great comfort from robins that visit their gardens. They're extremely territorial and will belt out their beautiful, fluid song to make their presence clearly known.

This original bud vase is cut from reclaimed hardwood and it holds a single glass test tube to make a tiny, but perfect, bud vase.

Ideal for holding a few small stems from the garden, or that single specimen bloom that you want to enjoy up close.

Need to know

The bases are made from offcuts of reclaimed wood and therefore could be slightly different in size. Overall, approximately 10cm tall, to top of test tube, and 6cm wide.

The birds are adapted from vintage illustrations and are double sided to enable them to be enjoyed in the round. They are printed onto sustainable birch ply and laser cut in the UK.

The test tube is removable and should be taken out to fill with water. Flower stems not included.

My work is distinctive and made for homes which have a personality that develops over time and doesn't necessarily follow trends. By using vintage imagery and a rustic aesthetic, my pieces really suit homes that combine inherited pieces, random collections and secondhand finds.

Many of my materials are recycled, reclaimed, repurposed or upcycled and this enhances the distinctive character that you only get from handmade.
