Need to Know

All elements of this artwork have been hand-sculpted and painted by the artist Laura Cronin, aka Bumble & Earwig, and has been signed on the reverse.

The red panda was needle-felted using a selection of natural and dyed wool fibres. The background has been painted by hand using watercolours.

The leaves have been individually hand-cut from Japanese tissue paper and mounted on real dried twigs.

The bowl, food and nose have been sculpted from polymer clay and painted with acrylics.

This has all been displayed within a glass-fronted natural history display box, measuring 195mm wide x 145mm high and 50mm deep.

There is a D-ring on the reverse to allow it to be wall hung, but it is also freestanding.

'Signed For' delivery is included.

This diorama was inspired by the real taxidermy dioramas of the Victorian era, but contains a modern twist.
The red panda appears to be content in its natural environment, but all is not as it may first appear. Look carefully at the details and the reality of its situation will become clear!

Perfect for fans of exotic animals, red pandas and those who would prefer their taxidermy to be the ethical kind!

The cute red panda has been painstakingly sculpted by hand using the process of needle-felting. It is nestled within a naturalistic setting of leaves, hand-cut from Japanese tissue paper mounted on dried twigs. The background has been hand painted in watercolours.
This has all been displayed within a glass-fronted natural history display box, echoing its antique counterparts.

Part of the "Anthropo-scene" series, this is a one-off piece by artist Laura Cronin aka Bumble & Earwig.
