Mecynorhina oberthuri is a flower beetle from Tanzania. This flower beetle was long thought to be the rarest species in its genus, however, Jean-Pierre Lequeux discovered that it is common in the forests of Tanzania.
This artwork is from a series of abstract, urban miniatures, combining my love for insects and uniting the beauty of urban abstract texture, into one.
This is a one of a kind Giclée fine art print on a paper panel by Evi Antonio which is hand finished with acrylic glazes and comes ready to hang in a beautiful St Ives, wooden frame. Dimensions 18cm x 24cm.
