A powerful digital artwork capturing the beauty and fragility of bees, framed and ready to hang. This painting echoes the desperate search for wildflowers that bees rely on, a reminder of how urbanisation and pesticides threaten our pollinators.
Inspired by a personal encounter with an exhausted bumblebee, the work combines digital painting with a background collage from the artist's own urban photography. It shows the exquisite detail of the bee and serves as a call to action: together we can all help. I left her revived and I felt a sense of unity helping this Queen Bee.
