This year we’re celebrating the classic British cottage garden and the powerful role our gardens play in supporting biodiversity. From providing habitats for pollinators and wildlife to improving soil health, reducing waste, and lowering food miles, even the smallest gardens contribute to a wider green network. This year’s original artwork shines a light on the responsibility we all share in protecting the natural world.

This bag size is ideal for top dressing small to medium indoor plant pots. Great for cacti, succulents and houseplants. Alternatively you can mix the shells into soil or compost to improve drainage and aeration. Contains approximately 3Kg of crushed whelk shells.

ABOUT THE ARTIST -
Sally Swannell creates nature and home-inspired artwork and stationery. Relaying the beauty and interconnectedness of our magical habitats and ecosystems, and our belonging in them is the why for much of her work. Sally believes profoundly in the need to rebuild our relationship with the natural world.

Sally originally trained as a natural history illustrator and has spent 20 years creating artwork for the giftware and greetings card industry. She is very much a homebody with a passion for nature, and those are the core threads in her work.
