Cleanly printed type in strawberry red ink on a cream coloured cotton teatowel, reading CREAM with JAM on top! This is the Devon order for cream tea should you be in any doubt, dollop the cream onto the scone then drop a spoonful of jam on top. Once you cross the Tamar Bridge into Cornwall remember to reverse this!
