Bring your love of nature into your home with this handmade goldcrest wall décor.
This woodland wall art features a goldcrest bird, perched on a wreath of crisp white hydrangea blooms. The goldcrest is made entirely from paper. She is covered with hand printed paper feathers in soft green, cream, black and yellow. I use traditional printing methods to mark my recycled paper, which ensures each bird is one of a kind. Metallic lustres have been used, which gives her feathers a lovely gentle shimmer. She is varnished with a UV protective lacquer. Her pose, patterns and colour palette are unique to him. She is surrounded by white paper hydrangea blooms and leaves on her wreath wall hanging.
The goldcrest is the UK's smallest bird. They are widespread residents to the UK, where they are most likely to be spotted in conifer woodland. Females are differentiated by their yellow tuft on their head, while the males have an orange stripe.
Need to know
Made from recycled 300gsm paper (very sturdy cardstock), which has been mono screen printed with unique patterns and textures.
28 cm (11 inches) tall and 26 cm (10 inches) wide.
Varnished with a UV protective lacquer.
Hangs from the wall via a (copper coated) steel hook, suspended with invisible fishing line at a 30 cm (nearly 12 inches) drop from the top of the sculpture.
This sculpture is not a toy.
Not suitable for damp locations such as the bathroom, or outside.
Easy to care for, all it needs is a tickle from a microfibre or feather duster every now and then.
Arrives boxed, adorned with a paper ribbon bow, ready to give as a gift for yourself or your recipient.
