Bring your joy of nature into your home with this handmade spring wreath featuring a large grey owl.
This white faced owl sculpture is made entirely from paper. I hand print all my my designs, using traditional printing techniques such as monotype and screen printing,, to ensure they are one of a kind. He is white, silver and grey, with his own unique markings, and the distinctive long, wispy paper feathers partly obscuring his beak. I have used a metallic lustre in the paint to give him a soft sheen. He perches on a spring wreath festooned with small pink tree blossom, similar to a cherry blossom. The flowers are in two shades of soft and bright pink, with darker pink middles.
This owl wall art measures around 35 cm (14 inches) wide and 45 cm (18 inches) tall. The owl sculpture is about 28 cm (11 inches) tall.
The Northern White Faced Owl can be found in the wild in Africa, and my favourite feature of this species is its fluffy feathers on its face, which partially hide its beak. I hope you like him.
