Bring the joy of nature into your home with this handmade owl wall hanging.
This handmade wall sculpture features a baby great grey owl, perched on a wreath of white and yellow tree blossom flowers.
My sculptures are made from hand printed recycled papers, using traditional print making techniques, such as monotype and screen printing. The process ensures his hand cut feathers have their own colour palette and patterns, making him one of a kind. I have used some metallic lustres in the printing process, which gives him elements of shimmery quality to his feathers. He is varnished with a UV protective coating, to seal his edges and make sure his colours remain bright, even if you choose to keep him in the window. His wreath is festooned with small white tree blossom flowers, which have been hand cut and shaped from the same sturdy 300 GSM recycled paper.
This owl sculpture wall hanging measures 21 cm (8 inches) tall and wide. The owl is 10 cm (4 inches) tall.
The great grey has the largest facial disks of all the owl species. Its big face help to track sound effectively, for hunting. They are found in North America and Eurasia, but not in the UK in the wild.

Need to know

Made from recycled 300gsm paper (very sturdy cardstock), which has been mono screen printed with unique patterns and textures.
Varnished with a UV protective lacquer.
Hangs from the wall via a (copper coated) steel hook, suspended with invisible fishing line at a 30 cm (nearly 12 inches) drop from the top of the sculpture.
This sculpture is not a toy.
Not suitable for damp locations such as the bathroom, or outside.
Easy to care for, all it needs is a tickle from a microfibre or feather duster every now and then.
Arrives boxed, adorned with a paper ribbon bow, ready to give as a gift for yourself or your recipient.
