- A vintage blanket box ottoman, hand-painted with a striped design on a wooden frame. The interior has been oiled and it retains its original castors and stopper chain.
- Approximate dimensions: H 73cm x W 93cm x D 49cm.
- This is a vintage, hand-finished piece. The paintwork has a rustic appearance and there may be minor signs of use and character commensurate with its age.
- It is a 1940’s utility piece that has been refinished to a good standard.
- Each piece is signed and dated by the artist on the reverse.
- Delivery lead time: 10 working days. Collection is also possible from my workshop in Leicestershire if preferred.

This is a vintage blanket box ottoman, hand-painted with a striped design and carved floral details. A characterful and practical piece from the 1930s to 1940s, it offers plenty of flexible storage for shoes, clothes, or blankets...
This is a vintage blanket box ottoman, hand-painted with a striped design and carved floral details. A characterful and practical piece from the 1930s to 1940s, it offers plenty of flexible storage for shoes, clothes, or blankets.
After full preparation, the wooden frame was professionally refinished in country shades of green and off-white. The floral details around the lid and carved frieze on the front were carefully stripped to highlight the design. The box has its original castors and a stopper chain to protect the hinges. The paintwork has been enhanced with a slightly aged patina for a rustic feel, yet is smooth to the touch.
The combination of a vintage piece and a unique hand-painted design makes this blanket box entirely bespoke. It would make a beautiful focal point in a bedroom or entryway.
Colours used: Rosemary & White Oak by Fusion Mineral Paint (Alchemy Range). Each piece is signed and dated on the reverse.
