Add a touch of elegance and uniqueness to your home with ‘The Flora’ Hand-painted Floral Chest of Drawers. I love to create bespoke pieces; and this chest has been restored and crafted with love and attention featuring hand-painted details that make it truly one-of-a-kind.
This is characterful chest of drawers dating from the Victorian period . After full preparation to the pine frame, it has been refinished professionally with duck egg green eggshell paint. In particular the legs are beautifully turned and classic of the Victorian era. It has three drawers with reclaimed pine handles creating a rustic farmhouse look; and the front has been decorated With a hand-painted floral design featuring rambling peony and primrose stems.
This hand-painted design is entirely bespoke and as mentioned completely unique, with a carefully selected colour palette of monochrome tones in cream, white and green; then sealed to finish and protect with a clear top coat.
I can imagine this looking beautiful as a focal point in a bedroom, or entryway even, would definitely bring joy to your day and spark conversation when you have guests visiting.
Please also note that each piece of furniture art is signed and dated on the reverse.

Conditon
The interior of the drawers have been oiled to replenish and the runners waxed so that they run smoothly, one drawer has had the base replaced with solid plywood to improve the ease of use. the chest stands solid, however please keep in mind that this piece is antique and not brand new so there are signs of use and character consumerate with age. It is a rustic Victorian piece, that said it has been refinished to a good standard. The condition is good, with smooth flat paintwork; where the motif has been hand- painted this has been sealed to protect.
