Each card is hand fed through my treadle printing press (restored from c.1900) two times – for both the yellow ink and then the wavy die-cut. Printed on 350gsm card that is made sustainably in Great Britain with yellow ink. Each pack contains six notecards and six recycled Kraft envelopes. Packaged with a thin paper band.
With letterpress printing, each print involves composing the design into a metal chase, known as a form, which is locked into the bed of the press ready to be inked. The form is pressed against the paper, creating a beautiful impression and tactile finish.
Hand letterpress printed with yellow ink.

Hello, I'm Catherine, a designer and printmaker with a love of colour and illustration. After travelling in 2009, I fell in love with the range of letterpress prints I found around the world and soon got to teaching myself the traditional printing process when I returned to the UK. Today, my collection of printing presses, inks and wooden type has grown and I now create a range of paper goods focused on simple colour illustrations and the idea of having fun with paper.
