This personalised leather pen case is lined with a rare Cold War-era silk escape map, a unique gift for history enthusiasts.

Each case is meticulously handcrafted from genuine leather and lined with a piece of a genuine issue, rescued silk escape map. Escape maps were the innovative creation of Clayton Hutton, an eccentric MI9 British Army Officer during World War II, printed on silk because it does not degrade in water or rustle like paper. They were discreetly issued to military personnel, hidden in uniforms or boots, as a lifeline for escape.

Make it even more special by having a name, initials, or numbers foil-blocked onto the leather. Each pen case comes with a small envelope containing the fascinating story behind the maps.

This exclusive collection is a collaboration between Sara Jane Murray of Home Front Vintage and Natthakur, and has been sold in stockists including The National Army Museum in London. It is a perfect Christmas or silk wedding anniversary gift, blending historical intrigue with exquisite craftsmanship.
