Hand screen printed typography over original oil painting on canvas. Signed by ‘AmBrose’.
Born in 1931 in Brierly Hill, Staffordshire, artist John Ambrose loved art as a child, and he was formally trained in art in the West Midlands. After many vacations in Cornwall, he eventually rented a cottage and studio in the area and spent the next 30 years living and working there. John Ambrose's oil paintings of the Cornish sea exquisitely capture the movement of the water and the atmosphere through his skilled use of colour.
Bespoke typography hand screen printed over the top in white ink.
Size of canvas: 69 x 58cm

Hi, we are Matt & Lucy and we are a husband and wife screen printing duo. We set up Basil & Ford in 2013 after we left London to start our family here in Stamford.
We have been screen printing over vintage content for 10 years creating bespoke pieces of colourful artwork to brighten up your interiors. We search out wonderful pieces of lost and forgotten treasurers from book pages and board games to cigarette cards and maps and give them a new lease of life with bold flouro typography ready to be displayed and admired for years to come.
