Need to Know
  • Sold as a set of two interlocking serving boards.
  • Each board measures 35cm x 25cm x 2cm.
  • Handmade from solid oak wood, finished using the Yakisugi (charring) technique. One board is charred black, the other lightly toasted.
  • Treated with a premium food-safe, 100% natural oil and wax blend (mineral oil, coconut oil, vitamin E and beeswax). I use Walrus oil and wax (no walruses involved).
  • Care: Wipe with a damp cloth after use.
  • Use minimal detergent and avoid abrasive sponges.
  • Dry thoroughly.
  • Do not soak or put in the dishwasher.
  • Handmade in the UK by Artshed Brighton.

Two interlocking wooden serving boards, one charred black and one toasted brown, perfect for serving or gifting. 'The Hug' is two softly curved Yakisugi grazing boards, handmade from solid oak wood and designed to nest together as an embrace. Using the Yakisugi technique of fire to colour, seal and preserve hard woods, one board is charred black, the other lightly toasted. They are ideal for quiet snacks or gifting something thoughtful and handmade.

Each board measures 35cm x 25cm x 2cm.
