Rhubarb Dinner Candle
Slender, architectural, and quietly dramatic, our Rhubarb Dinner Candle is a study in line and colour. Cast to echo the natural ribbed stalk of freshly cut rhubarb, it brings sculptural height and a subtle blush of pink to the table, elegant, unexpected, and entirely seasonal.
Rhubarb has long signalled the arrival of spring. One of the first crops to push through cold soil, its vivid stalks were once celebrated as a tonic after winter’s scarcity. In folklore, rhubarb was valued not only for nourishment but for its restorative qualities, believed in some traditions to cleanse, revive, and renew. Its sharpness symbolised awakening; its colour, the return of warmth and vitality.
Our interpretation captures that quiet optimism. The gentle gradation of tone, from leaf-soft green to deep rose, mirrors the natural beauty of the plant itself, transforming a kitchen garden staple into a refined dinner sculpture.
Unscented, so as not to compete with food or florals, it burns for approximately 1 hour, perfect for spring suppers, Easter tables, or layered among linen and stoneware for a touch of playful sophistication.

H&S - Candle safety;
- NEVER leave a burning candle unattended.
- Always put candles on a heat resistant surface, taper candles will need a stable, heat-resistant holder with a wide footprint to prevent them falling over.
- Keep burning candles away from things that can catch fire (e.g. curtains, other fabrics, furniture, hair). Keep candles out of draughts. Don’t put under shelves (there should be at least one meter between a candle and any surface above it).
- Candles should be kept out of reach of children and pets - consider where you place them in your home carefully.
- Make sure to leave at least 10cm between two burning candles - candles like to 'jump' between each other.
- Trim your wick when needed to maintain a height of 0.5cm.
- Keep wax pool clear of matches and debris to prevent reignition.
- Extinguish candles before moving them. Make sure candles are completely extinguished.
- CANDLES ARE NOT FOOD, NOT TOYS AND SHOULD NEVER BE EATEN.
