We love bringing pattern into our rooms. Our hand printed Ume cushion cover comes in the most gorgeous soft cornflower blue colourway (we were debating blues for weeks!) and we think it is the perfect accent for a neutral sofa or bed. We like to pair it with our other prints for a bit of a statement, because whoever said "less is more" was clearly wrong!
This hand printed design is inspired by the flowers of the Japanese apricot tree and our love of retro textiles. The cover also features a cute dusty pink Dot Dot design on the reverse.

When creating a woodblock print, the design is first traced onto translucent paper, to guide the block maker who then slowly carves it out of wood using a hammer and chisel. The printer then dips the blocks into a pad that holds the different dyes.
One block per colour is then stamped carefully and precisely by hand, to start building up the design, layer by layer.

Handblocked printed by artisans in Jaipur.
100% cotton.
Eco friendly AZO free dyes.
45 x 45cm.
Co-ordinating print on back.
Zip closure at bottom.
Feather inner available to buy separately.
Wash at 30˚. Do not tumble dry / do not bleach. Low iron if required.

Each cushion is individually printed using traditional methods. You may find slight variations in pattern and colour as each artisan will print with different pressure, in his own way. We believe these add charm and tell a story, making each product unique.
