This pottery mug is made from stoneware clay and is decorated with wild roses from the hedgerow in my garden. I hand decorate the mug by pressing flowers and leaves into the clay capturing their beauty for ever. I hand paint each flower and leaf and dip into my tin white and dusky rose glazes.
I add the words 'take a moment' as a reminder to make the most of each day for you.

Each one is hand thrown on Betty my pottery wheel in my log cabin studio in Somerset. With its comforting shape you'll feel that you need to hug this beauty in both hands to feel the texture of the stoneware clay and the throwing rings from the pottery wheel.
