Wire swallow sculpture for the garden that was featured at the wonderful Darts Farm Sculpture trail in Topsham, Devon.
Three wire swallows that sway in the breeze to add to their movement.
Beautiful garden sculpture consisting of three swallows with trailing tails and wings to create movement. Particularly lovely when there's a gentle breeze. All hand made to order; all different!
Height is approx. 180cm.
Please note, the wire I use to make these swallows will oxidise in the rain to a beautiful rust colour. We try to allow a certain amount of oxidisation prior to posting. The stakes are made from mild steel.
The sculpture comes in two parts for ease of postage. The bottom pole pushes up into the upper cavity.

I'm Jane the founder of A Vintage Garden. I’m very proud to be in my late 60s and still working! Each piece I create is unique. I may make many swallows, but no two are the same so when you buy a sculpture from me, you’re getting something that nobody else in the world has! Each sculpture starts with a single strand of wire to sketch the outline and is then interlaced by hand to create the three dimensional details. Sometimes my work is abstract, but always recognisable.
