One-of-a-kind gifts

When they’re not busy chewing our favourite shoes or barking aggressively at the postman, I really do adore our dogs. As any other dog lovers out there will know, they really are the heart of the family and part of the glue that holds you together. If you’re sad they’re there. When you need exercise, they’ll take you for a walk. These gifts are as much for the furballs as they are for their owners, and show you know them inside out.

Hiro and Wolf

Margate gingham dog jumper, by Hiro + Wolf: Inspired by the pastel hues of the founders’ favourite coastline. Ethically made from 100% cotton using 50% recycled yarns, it’s what they’d likely choose themselves.

Merit patches for dog friends, by Auntie Mims: Aunty Mims believe there’s fun to be found in the ordinary and I wholeheartedly agree. That’s why these patches make such brilliant gifts. Add them to a doggie bag for a thoughtful customised treat.

Mutts and Hounds

Dog scarf, by Mutts & Hounds:This is Mr Mudley and Mabel looking decidedly proud in their matching fancy attire from the quintessentially English Mutts & Hounds. They slip easily over their heads and are such a lovely way to make your doggies feel part of the family and keep them toasty on their ‘w’, ‘a’, ‘l’, ‘k’, ‘i’, ‘e’, ‘s’.

Wooden dog bowl, by The Wood Life Project: We’ve got lovely dinner plates for the family so it’s only fair that they have a good one, too. Beautiful, practical and durable, this wooden pet bowl is eco-friendly, sourced and crafted from British trees and naturally antibacterial.

Personalised organic dog biscuits, by Coco Kennel Dog Bakery: Ok now this is fancy, too. Handmade, personalised, organic dog biscuits for the favourite family member? That’s worth being good for (though I doubt he will be).

Hungover Dog Neck Scalf

Hungover dog bandana neckerchief, by The Distinguished Dog Co: This would definitely make me feel better on a hangover. It’s handmade and finished with The Distinguished Dog Co’s trademark leather stamp too. Cracking gift.

Custom Dog Pillow

Custom dog portrait, by LJN Studio: Custom hand embroidery from ex-Central St Martins graduate, fashion industry guru and now international artist, Lucy Newman. Woof woof (that meant ‘yes please’ in Doggish).

Beautiful Joes

Dog treat tins, by Beautiful Joe’s: Beautiful Joe’s makes natural liver air-dried dog treats (and lovely tins like this to keep them in). For every ‘treats pack’ you buy, they donate the same quantity of treats to a rescue home and so far they have donated over 114,000 to 128 rescue homes. Plus, you’ll certainly have a pal for life if you give your furry friend a box of these – all the Holly & Co pooches go CRAZY for them.
