Description

Pottery tea cup for mum or her. This quirky cup is hand pinched from a ball of clay before trimming and adding a hand pulled handle.

Once bisque fired the cup was hand painted with a whimsical scene of pink apple blossom and tiny whistling blue tit off for a jaunty walk, leaving behind some bird prints. The cup has a blue striped handle and blue check with a pink heart inside. There is a blue forget me not flower under the base. Perfect for a delightful cuppa.

The cup is clear glazed with a shiny glaze to highlight every facet created by my individual finger and thumb prints. Due to the nature of the make, no two are alike, therefore, may look a little different to the photographs.

Diameter approx 12cm
Height approx 7.5cm

Hello, I'm Lucy, the face behind lucyandjaneceramics.

I design and make whimsical pottery in my garden studio including tableware, decor and sculpture. My inspiration comes from the world around me, from the flowers in the garden to little creatures that inhabit the green space. A ball of clay is where it all begins, meaning my items have a hand produced quality that can't be found with mass produced ceramics. My aim is to make customers smile with each quirky detail.
