Celebrate the beauty of wildlife and the joy of springtime with this handmade bird wall art.
This white blossom wreath wall hanging features a great tit sculpture made entirely from recycled hand printed papers. The great tit has his own unique feather patterns, colour palette and pose. His paper flowers adorning the wreath are crisp white with sunshine yellow middles. He is varnished with a UV protected lacquer, making him as happy in a shady spot as he will be in a window, bringing some cheer to your décor.

I use traditional printing methods, including monotype and screen printing, to create a unique sculpture, making each piece I make one of a kind. The great tit is the largest resident tit in the UK, and can be found visiting most of our gardens throughout the year. In winter they join forces with blue tits and other small birds to make the search for food easier. Its distinctive two-note song makes them easy it recognise. Great tits continue to be one of my favourite garden visitors, and I enjoy trying to capture the elegance of these majestic birds.

My last date for Christmas orders is Thursday 19th December, so that I can post on Friday 20th, to make sure they catch Father Christmas's sleigh.

Welcome to the paper sculpture menagerie. My name is Kate and I make handmade paper sculptures to bring cheer to your décor. Every one of my pieces is one of a kind, made from recycled 300 gsm paper (really sturdy cardstock). Each design is tested for durability, and they are varnished with a UV protective lacquer to seal their edges and protect their vibrant colours. Each sculpture is designed, individually printed, cut, assembled and embellished entirely by hand to make sure each and every one has its own unique character. Birds are my most favourite subject. I also make flowers and other wildlife. I am inspired by countryside walks and garden visitors. I often describe myself as a seasonal maker, as I can often be found at my desk making cosy pieces in the autumn and bright, cheerful blooms in the summertime. I’ve been making my sculptures for over 15 years now, and my work aims to evoke the joy I find in the great outdoors. I do hope they make you smile.
