New and improved recipe for summer 2025. This wonderful cake is created from three separate layers that join together to give the ultimate afternoon treat. The bottom layer, the staple layer is a deliciously soft sponge cake made with ground almonds. The second layer, the ultimate layer, is a thick homemade lemon curd made with fresh and zingy lemons. The top layer, the treat layer, is a buttery crumble made with beautiful real dairy butter, the best flour from our local mill and Fair Trade brown sugar. This is the BEST cake and the one that we would both choose every time.
