This selection of ganaches is a collaboration with Margate-based Artist, Mercedes Lucy, and contains a limited edition giclee print entitled “Slink in here whence you came forth”.
Each box contains three of each of the following flavours:
- Milk chocolate and orange blossom ganache, in a milk chocolate shell.
- Honey and hazelnut praline, in dark chocolate shell.
- Pomegranate molasses ganache, in a dark chocolate shell.
“Slink in here whence you came forth” is Mercedes’ interpretation of Otta van Veen’s painting “Persian Women”, which depicts women resorting to a gesture of self-exposure in order to stop the men fleeing the battlefield, and return to save the City. Mercedes created five vignettes for the collaboration to collect or choose from.
The chocolate selection was further inspired by the subject, and the flavours chosen to reflect the power of womanhood. Orange blossom for fertility, Hazelnut for Wisdom, Honey for Selfless Labour, and Pomegranate for the Cycle of Life.
