Stained glass "Eucalyptus" leaf stem, everlasting foliage created using the copper foil Tiffany technique, in a muted, mid-green. A simple, elegant stem that looks beautiful displayed in a vase or bottle, bringing light to wherever it is situated. Each stem is made to order and the glass shapes are cut entirely freehand (no templates) to replicate the variation seen in nature; as such your stem will differ slightly from the photos shown here. The solder around the glass has a black patina, and the stem has a variegated gun-metal patina.
Need to know
You will receive one stem (with six leaves); stems are approximately 36 cm (14 inches) long.
Please note, the stems will arrive with a bend towards the base (for postage), requiring just gentle pressure either side to straighten them. Always handle using the wire stem (not the glass pieces) when carrying/adjusting.
Materials: Tinned copper wire, Patina, Wax, Stoneware, Ceramic, Glaze, Ceramic flowers.
The stems can be cut down to suit your vase with kitchen scissors. Florist's oasis, uncooked rice or sand can be used in your vase to hold the stem in place - use of such filler will also enable you to create different heights of the stems, without trimming.
Opaque glass is used, which means these stems look equally stunning against a window or in the lower light of the interior of a house.
Solder contains lead, which is toxic if ingested. Please wash hands after handling and keep out of children's reach.
